The Renters' Rights Act Information Sheet is Now Available

The Government has now released the official Renters’ Rights Act Information Sheet.

This is a standardised document that explains how existing tenancies will be affected as the rental sector moves from the current system to the new framework under the Renters’ Rights Act.

In simple terms, it’s a summary for tenants, setting out the changes that will automatically apply to their tenancy as the legislation comes into force.

What does this mean for landlords?

For tenancies that are already in place, this Information Sheet needs to be provided to tenants by the end of May 2026 as part of that transition.

It is a straightforward administrative step, but an important one, as it forms part of ensuring the tenancy is fully compliant under the new rules.

What do you need to do?

If your property is fully managed by The Bristol Residential Letting Co., you don’t need to take any action.

We will serve the Information Sheet to your tenants as required, ensuring everything is handled correctly and in line with the latest guidance.
